Marcia Selva has devoted her professional career to the travel and tourism industry and has promoted humanitarian initiatives in developing nations for more than two decades. She first traveled to Viet Nam in 1992. Her company, Global Spectrum, was the first U.S. travel company licensed to conduct business in post-war Viet Nam. Two years later, Selva founded Global Community Service Foundation because of her fascination with Southeast Asia’s history and culture and her concern over its struggles with poverty.
Marcia’s goal is to develop a solid culture and infrastructure for eradicating poverty in the region. Her husband, Richard, served with the U.S. Armed Forces in Viet Nam.
